The season also looks set to start at Phillip Island in Australia on March 1, rather than Qatar, with the desert venue reverting to round two.
The championship remains at 14 rounds, with one 'to-be-announced' event pencilled in for September 27 in Italy, a slot occupied by Vallelunga for the past two years. Monza remains 'subject to contract'.
The new Portimao circuit, due to host its debut WSBK event on November 2 of this year, retains its place as the season finale at the slightly earlier date of October 25.
The calendar shows that, unlike this season, the World Supersport Championship will take part in the 2009 US-round at Salt Lake City.
