Going on down the History of AGV Helmet, in 1953 the company released the first fiberglass vulcanized helmet. This was the beginning of what all motorcyclists expect from a helmet today. One year later, the company introduced the first fully fiberglass open-faced helmet. Once this helmet was noticed on the market, the company was asked to help make a downhill ski helmet for the 1km downhill ski speed record. Of course, the company produced a top of the line ski mask that provided safety and protection for this type of sport. That is where the company got their plans for the helmets that we now see and use today.
There are several professional motorcycle racers that have contributed to the History of AGV Helmet. In 1985, Nelson Piquet raced in the Formula 1 World Championship wearing a brand new Kevlat/Dupont fiberglass full face AGV helmet. In 1995, Valentino Rossi wore an AGV helmet while he was winning seven World Championship Title.
