Triumph may be holding back its big new launches until later this year (they’re going to be concentrating on the cruiser range for 2014) but the firm has already revealed the changes that are being made to the Bonneville and its derivatives.

The Bonnie itself gets only a couple of tiny updates; the decal on the fuel tank is replaced with a proper badge and the engine block and cylinder head have revised machining on the fins to improve their looks. By redesigning the exhaust Triumph claims to have improved the bike’s sound. A new seat and black grab rail complete the changes, along with updated paint schemes, with the 2014 colour options including black, silver and a while-and-blue combo. The basic Bonnie is £6549.

Stepping up the range to the £7349 Bonneville T100, the tweaks are similarly subtle, with the love-it-or-hate-it “Crystal White and Aurum Gold” colour option being the most obvious alteration. Again there’s a new exhaust system and the same tweaks  to the visual finish on the engine, while last year’s red and black colour option also remains on sale for those who can’t stomach the gold-on-white.

Triumph has also announced the T100 Black, which is – wait for it – a black version of the T100. The finish extends as far as the wheel rims, mudguard brackets and mirrors, replacing much of the standard bike’s chrome. At £7149 it’s £200 cheaper than the other T100 models.

The theme of revised exhausts and engine fins carries on to the cafĂ©-racer-style Thruxton, which also gains a standard-equipment fly screen and seat cowl included in the £7349 price. Colours are green or black. Meanwhile the Scrambler, which costs the same as the Thruxton, gets a black finish on the bars, wheel rims and hubs. A new seat with ‘Triumph’ embossed across the back is also a marker for the 2014 version, as are the new blue and silver/red colour options.
